“None of your Facebook Pages has an Instagram professional account linked”

Sometimes the window that opens when you connect Instagram is Facebook's. Then Munshi finds your Instagram through the Facebook Page it is linked to. It asks Facebook for the Pages you manage and looks for a linked professional account on each. If none has one, the window says Connection not completed, with this message: “None of your Facebook Pages has an Instagram professional account linked to it. Link one in Instagram's settings, then connect again.” Munshi repeats the message when the window closes, and Instagram stays unconnected.

The usual causes:

• The Instagram account is personal. Instagram only lets Business and Creator accounts publish through apps like Munshi. A private account is always a personal one.
• The account is professional but not linked to a Facebook Page.
• The Facebook profile you signed in with does not manage the Page the account is linked to.

• In the Instagram app, open Settings, then Account type and tools, then Switch to professional account. Switching is free, and it makes the account public.
• Link the account to your Facebook Page. In the Instagram app, go to Settings, then Accounts Centre.
• Check that the Facebook profile you sign in with manages that Page.
• In Munshi, open Integrations and connect Instagram again. After Continue to Instagram, sign in and pick the account. Munshi lists it with the name of the Page it comes through.

• “Facebook returned no Page you can manage. Nothing was saved.” The profile you signed in with manages no Facebook Page. Sign in with the profile that manages yours.
• “That network returned no pages we can post to.” This is the same problem when you connect a Facebook Page. The sign-in finished, but no Page came back for Munshi to post to.
• If the window that opens is Instagram's own, no Page is needed. That window turns away a personal account itself, before Munshi hears back.
