Which formats can I upload?
- Images: JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF.
- Videos: MP4, MOV and WebM.
- PDF: only for a LinkedIn document post. The composer offers it only where it can go. That is Attach a PDF to make a LinkedIn document post on a text post, or LinkedIn's own tab.
The kind of post narrows the list. An image post takes images only. A video post takes one video. A Thumbnail takes one image.
How big, and how many?
- Each file can be up to 1 GB.
- One post carries up to 20 files. Each network then has its own limit, from one on Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube to 20 on LinkedIn and Threads. Caption and media limits lists them.
- A video has to be the only attachment on a post.
- A workspace can upload 120 files an hour.
How an upload is checked
Files upload one at a time, in the order you picked them, straight to storage. Munshi then checks each file. It deletes and refuses a file that is empty, over 1 GB, or not the type its name says.
Some office networks stop the browser from reaching storage directly. Then Munshi sends files up to 100 MB through its own server instead. A larger file stops with “The upload didn't go through. Check your connection and try again.”
How long uploads are kept
Uploaded files are kept for 60 days. For a post scheduled further out than that, upload its media closer to the date.
If something goes wrong
A file stops with “files can be up to 1 GB.”
Export a smaller version, such as a shorter or more compressed video, and upload that. The file is over 1 GB.
“Too many uploads this hour. Try again in a bit.”
Wait a little, then upload the rest. The workspace has uploaded 120 files within the hour.
“That file doesn't match its declared type.”
Export the file again as a real JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, MP4, MOV or WebM, and upload that. Its contents are not the format its name says. This happens when a file is renamed instead of converted.
