“Choose who can see this on TikTok” and other TikTok refusals

Munshi asks when the TikTok tab shows Posting as and your TikTok name. That line means Munshi has read your account's settings from TikTok. They say which privacy options it allows, whether comments, duets and stitches are off, and the longest video it may post. Then:

• Privacy is marked required. Until you choose, the tab shows a mark. The line above the buttons reads TikTok: Choose who can see this on TikTok.
• A draft can reach TikTok without a choice, when sent from Social or at its scheduled time. It is refused with: “Choose who can see this video in the draft's TikTok settings.”

Without the Posting as line, Munshi does not read these settings or ask for Privacy.

• Open the TikTok tab and find Privacy under TikTok settings.
• Choose Public, Friends or Private. Options your account cannot use are not shown.
• If the tab says Couldn't load which privacy options your TikTok account allows., click Retry.
• Schedule or post again.

• Branded content cannot be private. With Branded content switched on, you cannot pick Private. A post that has both is held with “Branded content can't be private on TikTok”. Choose Public or Friends, or turn Branded content off.
• A video longer than your account allows. TikTok sets the longest video each account may post. A longer one is held with a message that starts “This video is”. It gives the video's length in seconds and the limit for this account. Trim the video and upload it again.
• A privacy option the account cannot use. The message reads “This TikTok account can only post as:”, followed by the options it allows. Choose one of those.

• If comments, duets or stitches are off in your TikTok account, the matching switch is on, locked and marked (off for your account). The switches are Turn off comments, Turn off duet and Turn off stitch. The setting belongs to your TikTok account, so you cannot change it from Munshi.
• TikTok takes video posts only. With nothing attached you see “TikTok needs a video.” With a picture you see “TikTok needs a video, not an image.”
