14-day free trial · No card required · 7-day money-back

A LinkedIn post with room to make the argument. It opens with a line that earns the click on See more, then gives the substance and a close. It is written for a professional reader, not trimmed from a caption.

How the connection works

You sign in to the network in its own window and give Munshi permission to post for you. Munshi never sees your password. You can revoke the connection from the network's own settings at any time.

What comes back

Munshi reads reach, engagement and follower growth for every post it publishes. The numbers are captured daily onto the Results page, next to your other channels. Comments on your posts come into Munshi, and you can reply from there.

LinkedIn's rules, checked first

  • Posts are kept under LinkedIn's 3,000 characters

What to know

  • One LinkedIn account per workspace
  • Newsletters and LinkedIn articles are not part of the calendar, because the blog is the long-form channel

Munshi schedules LinkedIn posts with up to 3,000 characters, up to twenty images, one video, or a PDF. LinkedIn shows the PDF as a document readers page through. You set Visibility for each post, and the numbers come back on their own.

LinkedIn is the one network where you choose whether a post goes out as you or as your company. When you connect, Choose an account lists your own profile and every Company Page your LinkedIn account can post as. Munshi publishes to the one you pick.

That choice decides more than the byline. LinkedIn lets Munshi read comments on a Company Page's posts, and not on posts made as a personal profile. Comments on a Page's posts come into Community to answer.

What you can post to LinkedIn

Format What goes out
Text on its own LinkedIn takes words with nothing attached. Start a Text post and write up to 3,000 characters. The LinkedIn tab counts them as you type.
Image post One picture, or up to twenty in a single post. That is the most any network Munshi publishes to will take, matched only by Threads. Drag them into the order LinkedIn shows them in.
Video One MP4, MOV or WebM file of up to 1 GB. It has to be the only attachment on the post. The LinkedIn card puts the practical limit at about fifteen minutes.
Document post Attach a PDF to make a LinkedIn document post turns the post into a carousel readers page through. The PDF has to be the only attachment. LinkedIn is the only network that takes one.
Link post A post carrying a link. The LinkedIn card lists it beside Text post, Image post, Multi-image and Video. The LinkedIn tab has no separate link field, so put the URL in the post text.

How to connect LinkedIn

  1. Open Integrations

Click Settings at the bottom of the sidebar, then Integrations. Your blog sits under Publish your blog, the networks under Schedule social posts, and Google under Measure results. The LinkedIn tile reads Connect until an account is on it.

Munshi's Settings dialog open on Integrations, with blog platforms under Publish your blog and the network tiles under Schedule social posts.
  2. Read the LinkedIn card

Click the LinkedIn tile. The card lists the formats it takes. Under Good to know, it says posts run to 3,000 characters and video to about fifteen minutes. It also says you publish as your profile or a Company Page, and pick during connect. Analytics you'll get lists what comes back: impressions, reactions, comments and shares.

  3. Click Connect LinkedIn and sign in

Click Connect LinkedIn. LinkedIn's own sign-in opens in a separate window. Sign in and approve the access Munshi asks for, and the window closes itself. Munshi can only offer the profile and Pages your LinkedIn account can post as. To publish as a Company Page, sign in as an admin of it.

The Connect LinkedIn button outlined in red on the LinkedIn card in Integrations.
  4. Choose who Munshi posts as

Back in Munshi, Choose an account lists your own profile and the Company Pages you can post as. Pick the Company Page if you want its comments in Community. The note under the list says LinkedIn only offers accounts you can post as. So if a Page is missing, check your admin rights on LinkedIn first.

The Choose an account dialog listing Sana Iqbal's profile and the Northloom Page, each with a Connect button, above a note from LinkedIn.
  5. Check the tile

Click Connect beside the profile or Page. Munshi shows Account connected. and the card reads Connected as the account you picked. The LinkedIn tile shows it with a green dot. Drafts you approve now publish to it, and Munshi starts bringing in the account's past posts.

The Schedule social posts tiles after connecting: LinkedIn shows @Northloom and a green dot, five of eight connected, and an Account connected toast.

Visibility and the media caption

The LinkedIn tab counts the post against 3,000 characters and offers the two settings LinkedIn asks for. Visibility is Public or Connections. Media caption is the line shown under a picture or video in the feed, up to 400 characters. Leave it blank and LinkedIn shows its own placeholder text.

If the LinkedIn version breaks a rule, such as running over 3,000 characters, the tab gets a mark. The reason appears above the buttons, with Fix in tab beside it. Nothing is scheduled until it passes.

Can Munshi post a PDF to LinkedIn?

Yes, as a document post. Click Attach a PDF to make a LinkedIn document post and pick the file. It appears as a numbered PDF tile in the media row. LinkedIn publishes it as a document readers page through in the feed.

The PDF has to be the only attachment, and it posts to LinkedIn alone. Leave another network on the post and Munshi says so, for example “Facebook: A PDF document only posts to LinkedIn. Remove it here.” Take the other networks off, or drop the PDF and use pictures instead.

The All platforms tab of the composer with a PDF attached as a numbered tile, and an Optimize per platform button above.

One post, written for each network

You write once in All platforms. Optimize per platform then rewrites the post for each network you picked, inside its own limit. That is 3,000 characters on LinkedIn, 5,000 on Facebook, 2,200 on Instagram and TikTok, 500 on Threads and 300 on Bluesky. Edit the LinkedIn version by hand and only LinkedIn changes.

LinkedIn and Threads take the most media of any network Munshi publishes to: up to twenty images in one post. So the same upload also covers Instagram's ten and Facebook's ten.

Can I reply to LinkedIn comments from Munshi?

Yes, if you connected a Company Page. Comments on its posts arrive in Community with the rest of your channels. You can reply publicly, mark a comment resolved or reopen it. The reply goes live on LinkedIn and the comment is filed as Replied.

A personal profile brings no comments in, because LinkedIn does not let Munshi read comments on a member's own posts. To change that, disconnect LinkedIn and connect again as the Company Page. Munshi reads your 60 most recent tracked posts, and a workspace sends up to 20 replies an hour.

Munshi's Community page: eight comments from Instagram, YouTube, Threads and LinkedIn in one list, five waiting on a reply, one open beside its post.

Where do LinkedIn results show up?

Results come back on their own. A post that has gone out appears under Posted on the Social page straight away, marked just now. A line says its numbers land after the first read. Reach, likes, comments and engagement rate then fill in, and each post shows how it compares with your usual.

The Posted tab of Munshi's Social page: the new LinkedIn post on top marked just now, older posts showing reach, likes and engagement rate.

How many LinkedIn posts can Munshi send a day?

Up to 50 a day on LinkedIn, and 25 an hour to any one account. Networks read a burst of posts as spam, so Munshi limits how fast one account posts. Both limits run on the UTC clock, and a post that fails does not count.

A post that hits the limit is not sent. It waits under Drafts on the Social page, marked as failed, with the reason and Retry now on its card. This limit is separate from your plan's monthly allowance of posts.

Munshi and LinkedIn, answered

Does Munshi work with LinkedIn?

Yes. A LinkedIn post with room to make the argument. It opens with a line that earns the click on See more, then gives the substance and a close. It is written for a professional reader, not trimmed from a caption.

Can Munshi post to a LinkedIn Company Page?

Yes. When you connect, Choose an account lists your own profile and every Company Page your LinkedIn account can post as. Munshi publishes to the one you pick. Posting as a Page needs you to be an admin of it on LinkedIn.

Should I connect my profile or my Company Page?

Connect the Company Page if you want its comments in Munshi. LinkedIn lets Munshi read comments on a Page's posts, not on a personal profile's. A profile connection publishes and reports numbers, but brings no comments into Community.

How long can a LinkedIn post be in Munshi?

Up to 3,000 characters, which is LinkedIn's own limit. The LinkedIn tab counts as you type and says how far over a long post is. Nothing is scheduled until it fits.

Can Munshi publish a LinkedIn document post?

Yes. Attach a PDF in the composer and LinkedIn shows it as a document readers page through. The PDF has to be the only attachment. LinkedIn is the only network Munshi sends one to.

Can I choose who sees a LinkedIn post?

Yes. Visibility in the LinkedIn tab offers Public or Connections. You set it for each post, not once for the account.

Does Munshi publish LinkedIn newsletters or articles?

No. Newsletters and LinkedIn articles are not part of the calendar. The blog is the long-form channel: Munshi writes articles into WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Framer or Sanity. The LinkedIn post then carries readers to them.

Can I connect two LinkedIn accounts?

No, not in one workspace. A workspace holds one account per network, so connecting a different profile or Page replaces the first. The Studio plan covers three brands, each with its own connected accounts and calendar.

When LinkedIn says no

These are the messages people see most often, and what each one means.

A Company Page is missing from Choose an account

LinkedIn only offers the profiles and Pages your account can post as. Check on LinkedIn that you are an admin of the Page. Then click Cancel in Munshi and connect again.

A LinkedIn account shows no comments in Community

LinkedIn lets Munshi read comments on a Company Page's posts, not on posts made as a personal profile. Disconnect LinkedIn in Integrations and connect again. Pick the Company Page in Choose an account.

“A PDF has to be the only attachment on the post.”

A document post carries the PDF and nothing else. Remove the other files from the post, or send them as a separate post.

“That connection step expired. Please reconnect.”

The list of profiles and Pages to choose from was no longer waiting, for example because another connect started. Click Connect LinkedIn again and pick the account.

“Your browser blocked the popup. Allow popups for Munshi and try again.”

LinkedIn's sign-in window could not open. Allow popups for Munshi in your browser, then click Connect LinkedIn again. On a phone the window opens as a new tab, so finish there and come back.

“Couldn't finish connecting. Please try again.”

Munshi could not add the profile or Page you picked, so try again. If it is already connected to another workspace, even one of your own, disconnect it there first.
