Munshi vs SocialPilot

Munshi Social, the AI content marketing engine for small teams, side by side with SocialPilot. SocialPilot is a social media scheduler built for agencies and multi-location brands. It sells plans by the number of connected accounts, from 7 to 50, with client approval, white-label reports and a social inbox on the higher tiers.

Pick SocialPilot if you run social for clients: it holds dozens of accounts, lets clients approve posts from a link, and puts your logo on the reports. Pick Munshi if you are one business and nobody has time to write. SocialPilot publishes what your team writes to ten networks. Its AI Pilot drafts or rewrites one caption at a time, paid for in credits. Munshi plans the month, writes the articles and the posts, and publishes them to your blog and 8 networks for $15 a month. It holds one account per network, two seats and no client portal, so an agency outgrows it on day one.

The rows above, as screens

You are comparing an agency tool. Here is what client work actually looks like in Munshi, so you can see where it stops.

Munshi's Workspaces on this plan card, with Northloom marked Carries the plan and Brackenfold listed as not on this plan.
Studio holds three brands on one subscription. Each is its own workspace, with its own accounts, calendar and results.
The This period meters reading 2 of 45 articles and 30 of 3000 posts, each with a line for the current workspace.
The three brands share one monthly allowance, and each brand's share is shown on its own line.
Munshi's Results on the Social tab, with Export social report and its PDF and Excel buttons at the top right.
Each brand's social report exports as a PDF or an Excel file that you can forward to the client. There is no white-label option.
The Home card that reads 3 things need your yes, listing two drafts with an Approve button beside each.
Approval in Munshi is one person clearing a short list, not a client portal. Nothing unapproved publishes.

What running three clients on one Studio plan looks like

Attaching a second brand to Studio, sharing one allowance, and switching between brands from the workspace menu. It runs 58 seconds and was recorded in the real app. The written steps are in the guide, and the film is also on YouTube.

The differences that decide it

Every comparison on this site answers the rows above. These rows matter only when two tools are this close.

Munshi SocialPilot
Who writes the content Munshi does. It drafts articles and posts from the keyword map you approved and your company profile. They wait in a weekly batch before you open the app. Your team does. AI Pilot sits in the composer: give it an idea and it drafts a caption, or highlight your text to rephrase, shorten, expand, translate or add hashtags. It writes in ten languages, one post at a time.
How the AI is metered By finished output: 15 articles and 1,000 posts a month on Founding. There is no credit balance. By credits: 500 a month on Essentials, 1,000 on Standard, 5,000 on Premium and unlimited on Ultimate. Generating, rewriting, tone changes, translations and hashtags all spend credits. When they run out, you are asked to buy a bundle.
How the price scales One flat price for all 8 networks and two seats. There is no per-account or per-seat fee. By plan, then by add-on. The plans hold 7, 15, 25 or 50 accounts. Each account past that is $4 a month, and each extra user on Standard or Premium is $5 a month. Prices are before tax.
Accounts per network One per workspace: one Instagram, one Facebook Page, one LinkedIn profile or Company Page. A second account on the same network needs a second workspace, which means Studio. Any mix up to your plan's count. Ten Facebook Pages for ten clients is a normal setup, and Groups let you pick a client's accounts in one click. This is what SocialPilot is built for.
Blog articles 15 a month on Founding, written for you into WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Framer, or Sanity. Ghost, Webflow, and Framer get drafts you publish from your own dashboard. WordPress gets drafts too, except scheduled articles, which go live at their slot. Sanity goes live on schedule. Not part of the product. The WordPress plugin works the other way round: you write a post in WordPress, and the plugin shares it to your social accounts.
Seats and roles Two per workspace, included. The only roles are owner and member. 1 user on Essentials, 3 on Standard, 6 on Premium and unlimited on Ultimate. The roles are owner, admin, manager, content scheduler and client, each with its own permissions.
Client approval Not offered. Approval is one person clearing a weekly batch, and there is no client login or portal. On Premium and above. Each client gets a portal link and approves, rejects or comments on posts without logging in. An optional auto-approve setting publishes a post the client has not answered one hour before its slot.
White label Not offered. Results exports a social report as a PDF or an Excel file, per brand on Studio, but Munshi has no white-label option. White-label PDF reports with your logo from Premium. Ultimate, at $200 a month, rebrands the whole app: your domain, logo, colours, login page and sender email.
Bulk scheduling No CSV upload. The month's posts come from the plan, written for you, up to 1,000 a month. On Premium and above: up to 500 posts from one CSV file, across many accounts, with images, first comments, tags and watermarks. Essentials and Standard do not have it.
Replying to comments and messages A Community inbox for comments, not messages. Comments come in from Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, Bluesky and a LinkedIn Page. You reply from Munshi on four of them, up to 20 replies an hour. A social inbox from Standard. It covers Facebook Pages, Instagram and LinkedIn Pages, with direct messages on Facebook and Instagram, replies to Instagram stories, and automated replies you set rules for.
Analytics Search Console, Google Analytics and every connected network on one Results page, with Overview, Social and Blog tabs. Pick 7, 30 or 90 days, or a custom start up to 365 days back. None on Essentials. Standard adds per-account analytics, post performance and scheduled PDF reports by email. Premium adds custom, competitor and white-label reports. Data goes back two years, three months per report, and stops at social.
On a phone The web app rearranges for phone width, with a bottom bar for Home, Calendar, Social, Community and Results. There is nothing to install. Native iOS and Android apps on every plan, plus a browser extension. This is better if you post on the move.
Integrations and API No Zapier connector and no public API yet. Munshi imports up to 100 past posts per network from most networks. Zapier, Slack, Canva, Unsplash, Google Drive, Dropbox and Box on every plan, plus an MCP server for AI assistants. A full API is on Enterprise only.
Billing terms $15 a month or $144 a year. Cancel any time in the Paddle billing portal, with 7-day money back on a first payment. Monthly, or yearly at 15% off, by card or PayPal. You can pause for 30 days. A monthly charge is refunded only if you have used the plan for less than a day since it, and annual plans are not refunded.
Track record Munshi launched in 2026. The team is small and the history is short, and we would rather you knew that. Its own pages cite more than 15,000 customers and more than 5 billion posts published.

Three situations, with the arithmetic

These are list prices, multiplied out. Do the same sum for your own team before you believe either of us.

An agency with eight clients

Eight clients with four accounts each, four staff, clients who approve their own posts, and branded reports every month.

SocialPilot $128/mo Premium: 25 accounts at $100, plus seven extra accounts at $4 each, billed monthly. Six users, unlimited client seats, the client portal and white-label reports are included.
Munshi No fit Studio holds three brands, and eight clients would need an Enterprise plan. Even then there is no client portal, no client approval and no white label.

This is SocialPilot's home ground, and it wins plainly. If your business is client work at this scale, you should be comparing SocialPilot with other agency tools, not with Munshi.

A small business on six networks, where nobody writes

One brand, one account on each network, and an owner with no time for captions.

SocialPilot $50/mo Standard, billed monthly, or $42.50 billed yearly. Essentials at $30 covers the accounts but has no analytics and no inbox. Either way, you still write every post, and there is no blog.
Munshi $15/mo Founding covers all 8 networks, writes 15 articles and up to 1,000 posts a month, and reports search and social on one page.

This is the case Munshi is built for. SocialPilot's price buys a desk for a writer, and Munshi's buys the writing.

A freelancer with three clients

One person running three small businesses, four networks each, with a report for every client at month end.

SocialPilot $50/mo Standard: 15 accounts, 3 users, analytics and scheduled PDF reports. Client approval and white-label reports need Premium, at $100 a month.
Munshi $29/mo Studio runs three brands, each with its own accounts, calendar and results, with 45 articles and 3,000 posts pooled. Each brand exports a PDF or Excel social report.

Munshi costs less and writes the content. It only works if each client has one account per network and signs off by email, because there is no client portal. If clients must approve inside the tool, SocialPilot Premium is the better buy.

Pick SocialPilot if…

  • You run social for clients, often with several accounts on one network, and need 15 to 50 accounts on one plan
  • Your clients approve their own posts from a link, with no login, which starts on Premium
  • You resell the service under your own brand: white-label reports on Premium, the whole app on Ultimate
  • You answer Facebook and Instagram direct messages and story replies from a shared inbox
  • You load a month of posts at once from a spreadsheet, up to 500 per CSV file
  • You need X, Google Business Profile or review management next to your social posts

Pick Munshi if…

  • Nobody on the team writes, and a composer that drafts one caption per credit does not fix that
  • You want blog articles written into your CMS, which SocialPilot does not do at any price
  • You want analytics in the entry price: Munshi's $15 plan reports search and social, and SocialPilot Essentials has no analytics
  • You want the week planned for you from keywords, not a blank calendar
  • One flat price is easier than a plan tier plus $4 per extra account
  • You want to pay monthly with 7-day money back, not an annual plan that is never refunded

Where each one falls down

A comparison written by one of the two tools is worth reading only if it is willing to lose a row. Here are both lists.

What reviewers flag about SocialPilot

  • Connected accounts drop and have to be reconnected, even when nothing about the account changed.
  • Some reviewers find the reporting basic, with no suggestions on what to do next. Essentials has no analytics at all.
  • Posts sometimes fail to schedule because of bugs, and one reviewer says bulk uploads failed with no alert.
  • A long-time customer reports a price rise of over $200 a year, charged to her card without warning. Annual plans are not refunded after that.
  • Some find the interface hard to learn, and one could not find live chat when they needed support.

What we will tell you about Munshi

  • One account per network per workspace. An agency with several Facebook Pages per network cannot run on Munshi.
  • Two seats per workspace, owner and member only. There is no client login, client approval chain or white label.
  • The Community inbox handles comments, with replies on four networks and no direct messages. SocialPilot answers Facebook and Instagram messages.
  • No mobile app, no Zapier connector and no public API yet. X is coming soon, and there is nothing for Google Business Profile.
  • A small team launched Munshi in 2026, so the track record is months, not years.

Munshi and SocialPilot, answered

How much does SocialPilot cost?

Essentials is $30 a month for 7 accounts and one user. Standard is $50, Premium is $100 and Ultimate is $200 a month. Billed yearly, they cost 15% less: $25.50, $42.50, $85 and $170 a month. Extra accounts are $4 a month each. Prices checked on socialpilot.co/plans on 30 September 2026.

Does SocialPilot have a free plan?

No. Its help centre says there is no free plan, only a 14-day free trial on any plan with no card. SocialPilot Reviews, its separate review management product, is free for one location. Munshi has no free plan either. Its trial runs 14 days with 3 real articles and 50 posts, and no card.

Which SocialPilot plan has client approval and white-label reports?

Premium, at $100 a month or $85 billed yearly. It adds unlimited client seats, the client approval portal, white-label PDF reports, competitor reports and bulk scheduling. Standard has manager approval only. Rebranding the whole app, with your domain and login page, needs Ultimate at $200 a month.

What are SocialPilot's AI credits?

AI Pilot, the writing assistant in the composer, runs on a monthly credit balance. Essentials includes 500 credits, Standard 1,000, Premium 5,000 and Ultimate unlimited. Every action spends credits: generating, rewriting, changing the tone, translating and adding hashtags. When they run out, you are asked to buy more. Munshi has no credits, and the plan caps finished output instead.

Does SocialPilot publish blog articles to WordPress?

No. Its WordPress plugin works in the other direction. You write a post in WordPress, and the plugin shares it to your social accounts with a caption for each network. Nothing in SocialPilot writes an article or publishes one to a website. Munshi writes 15 articles a month into WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Framer, or Sanity.

Which networks does SocialPilot support?

Its pricing page lists ten: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Bluesky. Its help centre also lists Tumblr. Munshi connects 8: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, Threads, YouTube and Bluesky. X is coming soon on Munshi, and Munshi has nothing for Google Business Profile or Tumblr.

Is SocialPilot good for agencies?

Yes, and that is who it is built for. Premium gives an agency 25 accounts, six users, unlimited client seats, a no-login approval portal and white-label reports for $100 a month. Munshi is the wrong tool for an agency at that scale. It has two seats, one account per network per workspace and no client portal.

Does every SocialPilot plan include analytics?

No. Essentials, the $30 plan, has no analytics, no social inbox and no approvals. Standard adds per-account analytics, post performance and PDF reports by email. Premium adds custom, competitor and white-label reports. All of it covers social accounts only. Munshi's $${founding.price} plan puts Search Console, Google Analytics and every connected network on one Results page.

What is SocialPilot's refund policy?

It refunds your latest charge in full only if you have used the plan for less than a day since it, for example when you forgot to cancel. After a day of use there is no prorated refund, and annual plans are not refunded at all. You can pause for 30 days instead. Munshi gives 7-day money back on a first payment.

Is SocialPilot cheaper than Munshi?

Not at the entry price. SocialPilot starts at $30 a month, or $25.50 billed yearly, and Munshi at $15. For one agency with dozens of accounts, though, SocialPilot is the one that fits at all. Premium runs 25 accounts for $100 a month. Munshi's price includes the writing, and SocialPilot's does not.

Does SocialPilot have an API?

Only on Enterprise, which is priced by conversation. Every plan does include an MCP server that lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT draft and schedule posts in your account, plus Zapier and Slack. Munshi has no public API yet and no Zapier connector.

Can I move from SocialPilot to Munshi?

Yes, if you run one brand with one account per network. There is no importer, and little to import, because everything SocialPilot published is on your own accounts. Download any PDF reports you want to keep, and cancel before a renewal if you pay yearly. Then connect your accounts to Munshi and approve a first strategy, which takes about an afternoon.
