Munshi vs Metricool

Munshi Social, the AI content marketing engine for small teams, side by side with Metricool. Metricool is a social media planner and analytics dashboard that started in 2014 as a blog statistics tool. It schedules to eleven networks, reads your ads and your website traffic beside them, and has a free plan that never expires. It is priced by brand, not by seat or channel.

Pick Metricool if the numbers are the job: its analytics, competitor tracking, ad reporting and Looker Studio connector go far deeper than Munshi's, and its free plan costs nothing forever. It also has an inbox with direct messages and a mobile app, which Munshi does not. Pick Munshi if the numbers are fine and nobody has time to write the next week. Metricool's AI assistant drafts one post at a time from a topic you type, on 20 credits per brand a month on Starter, and it never writes or publishes a blog article. Munshi proposes the plan, writes 15 articles and up to 1,000 posts a month, and publishes them to your blog and your networks for $15 a month. For one brand, Munshi costs less than Metricool Starter billed monthly. For five brands or more, or a team with roles, Metricool is the better buy.

The rows above, as screens

You came here comparing dashboards. Munshi's Results page is simpler than Metricool's, and it sits next to the part Metricool does not do: the writing.

Munshi's Growth per channel cards on Results for Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok, each on its own headline number.
Each network reports on the measure it actually sends. There are no competitors or ad accounts here, and a number a network did not send says Not reported.
The Top searches table on Munshi's Blog results, led by how to wash a wool blanket with 24 clicks at position 6.4.
Search Console searches, clicks and positions sit beside social results, with no Looker Studio report to build.
A row in Munshi's Found through AI assistants panel: chatgpt.com sent 5 people and 6 visits to one blog article.
Google Analytics referrals from ChatGPT, Perplexity and other assistants, down to the article they landed on.
Munshi's Home card reading 3 things need your yes, with two drafts and an Approve button beside each.
The part a dashboard cannot do: next week's posts, already written and waiting for one yes each.

What Munshi's results look like next to a Metricool dashboard

A walk through growth per channel, the four headline figures and the table of what worked. It runs 65 seconds and was recorded in the real app. The written steps are in the guide, and the film is also on YouTube.

The differences that decide it

Every comparison on this site answers the rows above. These rows matter only when two tools are this close.

Munshi Metricool
Who writes the content Munshi does. It drafts articles and posts from the keyword map you approved and your company profile. They wait in a weekly batch before you open the app. You do, with help. The AI assistant sits in the planner and in autolists. You type a few words, pick a tone, a language and optionally a network, and it drafts one post for you to edit. It can also turn a draft into a five-post thread for X or Threads.
How the AI is metered By finished output: 15 articles and 1,000 posts a month on Founding. There is no credit balance. By credits, spent by the token: 5 a month on Free, 20 per brand a month on Starter and 35 on Advanced. Longer requests use more. Credits reset each billing cycle, and you cannot buy more.
How the price scales By brand, in a different shape: Founding is one brand at $15/mo and Studio is three at $29/mo. Past three, Enterprise is priced by conversation. By brand, in steps. Starter holds 5 brands for $20/mo billed yearly or 10 for $36. The eleventh brand, or a second login, moves you to Advanced at $53 for 15. Then 25 brands cost $85 and 50 cost $159. Billed monthly, the same steps are $25, $45, $67, $107 and $210.
Accounts per network One per workspace: one Instagram, one Facebook Page, one LinkedIn profile or Company Page. A second account on the same network needs a second workspace, which means Studio. The same rule, one profile per network per brand, so two Instagram accounts need two brands. The difference is price: Metricool sells brands five at a time from $20 a month billed yearly, which makes the rule cheap to live with.
Blog articles 15 a month on Founding, written for you into WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Framer, or Sanity. Ghost, Webflow, and Framer get them as drafts you publish from your own dashboard. WordPress gets drafts too, except scheduled articles, which go live at their slot. Sanity goes live on schedule. Not part of the product. The WordPress plugin installs Metricool's tracking script, and autolists can pull new posts from your blog's RSS feed to share on social. Nothing writes or publishes an article.
Keyword and content strategy Included. Munshi researches keywords, checks demand and proposes a weekly plan. You edit or approve it before anything is written. Best times to post, a hashtag finder, hashtag analysis and up to 100 tracked competitors on paid plans. That tells you when and against whom, not what to write about.
Analytics Search Console, Google Analytics and every connected network on one Results page, with Overview, Social and Blog tabs. Pick 7, 30 or 90 days, or a custom start up to 365 days back. A panel counts visits referred by AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Perplexity. Where a number cannot be read, it says Not reported instead of 0. This is where Metricool is better, and it is not close. Paid plans keep unlimited history, except 30 days for X. You get Reels and Stories analytics, competitor analysis, and your own website traffic without Google Analytics. Metricool Studio answers questions about your data with charts, and campaign dashboards group posts by campaign.
Ads and competitors Not offered. Munshi does not connect ad accounts and does not track competitors. Meta Ads, Google Ads and TikTok Ads sit in the same dashboard as your organic posts, and you can create and adjust campaigns there. Up to 100 competitor profiles on paid plans, and 5 fixed ones on Free.
Reports The $15 plan exports the social report as a PDF or an Excel file. Studio gives each brand its own results and report at month end. PDF and PPT reports, automated monthly sending and a live share link on Starter. Custom report templates and a Looker Studio connector with more than 250 data sources on Advanced. Nothing downloads on Free.
Seats and roles Two per workspace, included. The only roles are owner and member. One login on Free and Starter. Advanced adds unlimited users, five default roles (Analyst, Editor, Manager, Content Creator and Client) and custom roles, set per brand.
Approval workflow One weekly batch you clear in one sitting. Nothing unapproved publishes. On Advanced, you send posts for approval from the planner, and clients or teammates approve or suggest edits. Since August 2026, external reviewers can comment without rejecting. Approved posts publish on their own. There is no approval step on Free or Starter.
Inbox and messages A Community inbox for comments, not messages. You reply from Munshi on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Threads, and read YouTube and Bluesky comments. Replies are capped at 20 an hour. An inbox with messages and comments from Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Google Business Profile on every plan, LinkedIn on paid plans, and X with the add-on. Flows turn comments and story replies into direct messages, at no extra cost for now. Munshi has nothing for direct messages.
On a phone The web app rearranges for phone width, with a bottom bar for Home, Calendar, Social, Community and Results. There is no app to install. Native iOS and Android apps. You can reply from the app, and a Starter Mobile 5 plan can be bought there, billed monthly.
Billing terms $15 a month or $144 a year. Cancel any time in the Paddle billing portal, with 7-day money back on a first payment. Monthly or yearly, and yearly saves up to 24%. Prices exclude VAT. You can cancel any time and keep the plan to the end of the cycle. A first purchase can be refunded within 15 days, which is longer than Munshi's 7. Renewals are not refunded.
Track record Munshi launched in 2026. The team is small and the history is short, and we would rather you knew that. In market since 2014, first as Bloggerespacio and as Metricool since 2015. It has been part of team.blue since 2024.

A brand holds one account per network. Free has no LinkedIn and no X. X is an add-on on every paid plan at $10 a month per connected account. The Advanced Analytics add-on starts at $12 a month on Starter and $36 on Advanced. Fair use means a base threshold of 600 posts per brand a month, above which Metricool checks the account by hand. Advanced adds roles, post approval, custom report templates, the Looker Studio connector, the API, Zapier and Make. Custom adds white label and a dedicated account manager. Prices exclude VAT.

Founding pricing is locked for life on the plan and billing cycle you join. Later price rises apply only to new members. Every brand connects 8 networks, one account each, with no per-channel fee. X is coming soon and cannot be connected yet. There is also a fair-use cap on generation of about $5 of model usage per workspace per day.

Three situations, with the arithmetic

These are list prices, multiplied out. Do the same sum for your own team before you believe either of us.

One person, one brand, already writing

A founder on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok who writes the captions and posts a few times a week.

Metricool $0 The free plan covers the brand with 20 published posts a month, 30 days of analytics and the inbox. It never expires and needs no card.
Munshi $15/mo Founding. The posts and 15 articles a month are written for you and wait in a weekly batch.

If you enjoy writing the captions and 20 posts a month is enough, Metricool's free plan is the right answer. Munshi earns its $15 only when the writing stops happening.

One brand where nobody writes

A small business on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Pinterest that wants a blog and has no one to write for either.

Metricool $25/mo Starter billed monthly, or $20 a month billed yearly, for five brands when you need one. LinkedIn needs a paid plan. You get 20 AI credits a month for the brand, and you still write every post and every article.
Munshi $15/mo Founding covers all 8 networks with 1,000 posts and 15 articles a month, written for you and published to your blog.

This is the case Munshi is built for. Metricool will show you exactly how last month went, and Munshi fills next month. If X matters to you, Metricool adds it for $10 a month, and Munshi cannot connect it yet.

An agency with eight clients and three staff

Eight brands, a coordinator, a designer and an account lead, with clients approving before anything ships.

Metricool $53/mo Advanced billed yearly, $67 monthly. That covers up to 15 brands, unlimited users with roles, a client approval portal, Looker Studio and the API.
Munshi $87/mo Three Studio subscriptions for nine brands, each workspace with two seats and no roles. Past three brands, we would point you at Enterprise instead.

Metricool is cheaper and simply the better fit here. Munshi would write the content for all eight brands, but it cannot give three people roles or send a post to a client for sign-off.

Pick Metricool if…

  • The numbers are the job: you want full history, competitor tracking, ad results and a Looker Studio connector in one place
  • You run five or more brands, and $20 a month billed yearly for five is hard to beat
  • You write your own posts, and a free plan with 20 posts a month is enough
  • You need X, Google Business Profile or Twitch, which Munshi does not connect
  • More than two people work in it, with roles, unlimited users and a client approval portal on Advanced
  • You answer direct messages, want comment-to-DM automations, or work from a phone app

Pick Munshi if…

  • Nobody writes the posts, and a dashboard that shows what worked does not fill next week
  • You want blog articles written into your own CMS (the tool your blog runs on). Metricool measures your blog but never writes for it
  • You want a keyword plan behind the calendar, not only best times and hashtags
  • You run one brand, and $15 a month buys 1,000 posts and 15 articles instead of a five-brand plan and 20 AI credits
  • You want Search Console searches and positions beside your social results without building a Looker Studio report
  • You would rather approve one finished batch a week than fill a planner

Where each one falls down

A comparison written by one of the two tools is worth reading only if it is willing to lose a row. Here are both lists.

What reviewers flag about Metricool

  • Several Trustpilot reviewers describe renewals they did not expect and no refund afterwards. Metricool's own policy refunds only a first purchase, within 15 days.
  • X costs extra on every paid plan, and reviewers paying for a plan have been surprised they could not add an X account without the $10 add-on.
  • Some Trustpilot reviewers report posting errors, accounts that disconnect and scheduled posts that went out twice.
  • Trustpilot reviewers say support can reply with generic answers and links to help articles rather than a fix.
  • The dashboard takes learning. Reviewers on Capterra and Trustpilot call parts of it less intuitive than they would like, with little guidance for new users.

Public reviews on Trustpilot and Capterra, read 30 September 2026, checked against Metricool's own refund policy and pricing page

What we will tell you about Munshi

  • No free plan. The trial runs 14 days with 3 articles and 50 posts, and Metricool's free plan never expires.
  • Much narrower analytics: no competitor tracking, no ad accounts, no Looker Studio connector and no public API yet. Website numbers come from your own Search Console and Google Analytics.
  • Two seats per workspace and no roles, so there is no client review portal. Studio holds three brands, where Metricool Starter holds five for $20 billed yearly.
  • X is not connectable yet, and there is nothing for Google Business Profile or Twitch.
  • No direct messages, no mobile app and no link in bio page. A small team launched Munshi in 2026, so the track record is months, not years.

Munshi and Metricool, answered

How much does Metricool cost?

Metricool has a free plan for one brand. Starter costs $20 a month billed yearly or $25 monthly for up to 5 brands, and $36 or $45 for up to 10. Advanced costs $53 a month billed yearly or $67 monthly for 15 brands, $85 or $107 for 25, and $159 or $210 for 50. Custom is quoted. X is $10 a month per account on top, and prices exclude VAT. Checked on metricool.com/pricing on 30 September 2026.

Is Metricool's free plan really free?

Yes, and it never expires or asks for a card. You get one brand with one account per network, 20 published posts a month, 30 days of analytics, 5 fixed competitors and 5 AI credits a month. It does not include LinkedIn, X, report downloads, the link in bio page or the Canva and Google Drive integrations. For a one-person brand that writes its own posts, it is a good product at $0.

Does Metricool write posts for you?

One at a time, when you ask. You type a topic, pick a tone and a network, and the AI assistant drafts a post you can edit. It runs on credits spent by the token: 5 a month on Free, 20 per brand a month on Starter and 35 on Advanced, with no top-ups. It does not decide what to post this week. Munshi writes 15 articles and up to 1,000 posts a month from a plan you approved, and they are waiting when you open the app.

Can Metricool publish blog articles to WordPress?

No. Metricool's WordPress plugin installs its tracking script so you can see visits in Metricool. Autolists can pull new posts from your blog's RSS feed and share them on social. Nothing in Metricool writes or publishes an article. Munshi writes 15 articles a month into WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Framer, or Sanity.

How much does X cost on Metricool?

$10 a month per connected X account, or $120 a year, on top of any paid plan. That price took effect on 13 July 2026. Advanced includes complete X analytics, but it still needs the add-on, and Free cannot connect X at all. Munshi cannot connect X yet either. It is listed as coming soon.

How many users can I add on Metricool?

One on Free and Starter, which are single logins. Advanced adds unlimited users, with default roles such as Analyst, Editor, Manager, Content Creator and Client, and custom roles set per brand. Munshi gives each workspace two seats, and the only roles are owner and member.

Is Metricool good for agencies?

Yes, and it is priced for them. Brands come in steps of 5, 10, 15, 25 and 50, and Advanced adds client approval, roles, custom report templates and Looker Studio from $53 a month billed yearly. For an agency with many clients and a team, it is a better fit than Munshi, whose Studio plan holds three brands with two seats each.

Does Metricool have a free trial?

Not a standing one. The free plan is the way to try it, and paid-plan trials come only through promotional trial codes. A first paid purchase can be refunded within 15 days, but renewals cannot. Munshi's trial runs 14 days with 3 real articles and 50 posts and no card, with 7-day money back on a first payment.

Is Metricool cheaper than Munshi?

It depends on how many brands you run and who writes. Metricool's free plan beats $15. For one brand, Starter costs $25 a month billed monthly or $20 billed yearly, against Munshi's $15, and you still write everything. For eight brands with a team, Metricool Advanced at $53 a month is far cheaper than three Munshi Studio plans, and it gives you roles Munshi does not have.

Can I use Metricool and Munshi together?

Yes, and it is one of the few pairings that makes sense. Metricool is strongest at reading numbers, and Munshi at writing and publishing. You could keep Metricool for competitor tracking, ad reporting and Looker Studio, and let Munshi plan, write and publish. Pick one of the two to publish, so you do not run two queues posting to the same account.

How do I move from Metricool to Munshi?

There is no importer, and little to import. Anything Metricool published is already on your own accounts. Download any reports you want to keep, and cancel before the renewal date, because renewals are not refunded. Then connect your accounts and your CMS to Munshi, describe the business and approve a first strategy, which takes about an afternoon. Munshi can also pull in your past posts so Results measures them too.
